Broken Promises & A Trip Ruined: My Nightmare Online Glasses Order 😤
I'm writing this as a warning about my awful experience ordering glasses online. I needed them for a trip and trusted the company's advertised timeline, but that trip has already passed, and I'm still waiting. My final assessment of this entire ordeal is that Frustrating is the word to describe this company - dishonest would be another. They claim 6 days to produce the glasses - has anyone really had them make good on this ? Their customer service bot is worthless and I doubt there is any HUMAN reps. I ordered for a trip thinking no.problem it will take a few weeks - that has come and gone and no date in sight. Pretty disappointed that they mislead on how long it actually takes probably shipped from China. After getting nowhere with automated responses, I felt I had no choice but to demand a conversation with a real person to get a straight answer.
Customer: My order was supposed to take 6 days to produce. It’s been weeks, and the trip I ordered them for is already over. Can you tell me where my glasses actually are?
CS Rep: I am so sorry to hear about this delay and that it affected your travel plans. I completely understand your frustration. Could you please provide your order number so I can check the status immediately?
Customer: It’s order number 1138295. Your website is misleading, and the chat bot is a joke. I just want an honest update, not another excuse.
CS Rep: Thank you. I see your order right here. I sincerely apologize; it appears there was an unexpected delay in the lab that was not properly communicated. Your glasses have just been dispatched. To make up for this failure on our part, I have refunded your shipping charges.
Customer: Refunding the shipping is the least you could do. You shouldn't make promises you can't keep. I’ll believe it when the package actually arrives.
