My 19-Day Glasses Nightmare: Express Shipping & Zero Delivery! 😤
My recent online shopping experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to share my story as a stark warning. I desperately needed new glasses after my old pair broke, so on March 30th, I placed an order and even paid for express 3-5 day shipping. What a terrible mistake that was. Day 5 rolled around, and my order was still "in production." Day 10, still "in production." By Day 11, I had to call customer service just to beg for a shipping refund because these glasses were STILL 6 days out on delivery. It's now Day 19, or whatever, and I still don't have my glasses! This company is terrible, a complete lack of care for their customers. This is why I had to leave this review and try to get some answers.
Customer: Hello, I'm calling about order [Order Number]. I placed it on March 30th and paid for express shipping, which was supposed to be 3-5 days. It's been nearly 20 days and I still don't have my glasses. CS Rep: I apologize for the significant delay and the frustration this has caused, especially given your need for the glasses and the express shipping you paid for. Let me pull up your order for you. Customer: This is ridiculous. My old glasses broke, that's why I paid extra for fast shipping. I called on Day 11 to get my shipping refunded, which was processed, but that doesn't fix the fact that I'm still without glasses. What is going on? CS Rep: I completely understand your urgency and anger. I see here that there was an unforeseen delay in the production phase of your specific lens type. We are truly sorry that this wasn't communicated to you proactively earlier. Your glasses are now marked as shipped as of yesterday. Customer: Shipped yesterday? After all this time? I was told they'd be another 6 days out just last week! This company is terrible. You don't care about your customers. CS Rep: I assure you we do care, and this is certainly not the experience we want for any of our customers. As your glasses are now in transit, they should arrive within the next 3-5 business days. As a further apology for this extreme inconvenience, I'd like to offer you a store credit on your next purchase with us.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap of terrible service and unfulfilled promises.
